Zero Gravity Institute
I had an amazing experience the other day at the Zero Gravity Institute.
The tanks are about the size of a children’s wading pool and has only about 10 inches of water. When you get in and lie down, you soon discover that you cannot sink. You can try to sink and you can’t. Even your head floats above the water at about ear level. So even if you think you can’t swim or wouldn’t enjoy it, think again. The water is warmed to skin temperature and as you lay back and float, the music and lights slowly fade. For the next hour, there is no sound, no light, no sense of feeling as though you were in a warm cloud. Sometimes it feels like you’re spinning slowly but you aren’t. It’s large enough that you can stretch out without touching any of the sides but there are not jets or bubbles so there’s nothing to push you around. It doesn’t matter if you close your eyes or not, you can’t see. The tank is quite large and there is plenty of room to stand up and walk around so I did not get the feeling of claustrophobia. The reason that you float so easily is several hundred pounds of Epsom Salt has been added to the water so it also has the effect of softening and relaxing the muscles.
Follow this with a massage and all those old, holding patterns will forget why they were so upset and just go away. Currently there is a $25 off coupon in the free All Natural magazine that you see everywhere. Tell them I sent you. (I don’t get anything but I’d like for them to know how well I rate them.
